The challenge
CENTEGIX brought me on in July 2022. It wanted better search visibility, long-form content such as eBooks, and sharper messaging for its state landing pages and products. It had also just acquired Ident-a-Kid's visitor management software and needed to fold that brand into its own.
Its audiences didn't share the same concerns. Schools were focused on safety and teacher shortages, while healthcare facilities were dealing with violence in care settings. Each needed its own content.
What I did
I built a keyword strategy for education and healthcare, based on research into what CENTEGIX's audiences search for. It's built around six terms: school safety plan, school alert system, teacher shortage, violence in healthcare, critical incident mapping and visitor management.
Next, we moved Ident-a-Kid's content onto the CENTEGIX site. That meant five blogs and five landing pages, each reviewed, optimized and rebranded so it fit its new home. The move helped unify the brand and strengthened CENTEGIX's visitor management messaging.
We also developed individual state landing pages tied to safety laws such as Alyssa's Law. They're written to help schools get state and federal funding for safety technology.
Results
Organic traffic grew from 2,081 in July 2022 to 9,640 by May 2024. Seven keywords reached Google's top 10, and 22 more ranked above position 51.
Domain authority rose 15 points. It went from 23 to 38, a gain that came with the Ident-a-Kid migration and steady SEO work. Over the engagement, my team produced more than 122 content items, including eBooks and landing pages.
