The challenge
Myers-Briggs first needed well-researched, well-designed eBooks. The company had full writing and design teams, but the Global Director of Content was running out of time before end-of-year goals.
Once the eBooks met their 2021 deadlines, the team asked a harder question. They wanted to launch a podcast and didn't know where to start. Podcasting was outside their experience, and the guests were spread around the world.
What I did
I ran the organization and project management to launch the podcast from nothing. That covered equipment, logistics, platform choices, theme music and distribution, so the team didn't have to work any of it out alone.
We also helped on the content side. That meant lining up guests based around the world and coming up with episode topics. The aim was a Season One launch without hiccups.
The work didn't end with the podcast. My team has kept writing original blog posts, podcast-supporting blogs and eBooks for Myers-Briggs. I've also helped with content strategy when opportunities or time crunches come up.
Results
Season One launched without hiccups, and listens and downloads far exceeded initial expectations. Listeners around the world now tune in to episodes on conflict in the workplace, trust and transparency, and management styles.
Season Two launched in mid-2023. The eBooks that started the relationship met their 2021 end-of-year deadlines, and that's what led to the podcast work.
